Course Description

This is an introductory course on spirit possession as it relates to religion, the abuse of witchcraft, and mental health. The course takes a deep dive into spiritual possession, exploring how different cultures and races perceive spirit possession,  the use of modern psychology (Western philosophy) to explain spirit possession, and how new age spiritual practices (such as Neo-Shamanism) frustrate a deeper understanding of spiritual possession.
