Kewra water (200 ml) is a fragrant floral distillate made from the sweet-smelling flowers of the Pandanus odoratissimus plant.
The water is used in culinary as an ingredient in mughlai, awadhi, biryanis, korma, and rice dishes. It enhances the sweetness of kheer, sherbet, and lassi.
The water should be used very sparingly—just 1 to 3 drops—added near the end of cooking so the strong aroma does not fade.
The water is also used as a skin toner to help clean pores, soothe acne, and hydrate dry skin due to its natural anti-inflammatory properties. The scent provides a calming effect to help relieve stress
